Each week we are going to learn about a new type of poem. Complete each daily task so that you are ready to create the best possible poem that you can at the end of the week.
THIS WEEK'S POEM: Cinquain.
A cinquain is a five-line poem ("cinq" meaning "'five" in French) that describes a subject. There are two ways to write cinquain: by number of syllables per line, or by number of words per line. Each way has its own set of rule, but the structure remains relatively the same.
Today you will write a draft your cinquain. You may choose to write one based on the number of syllables in each line or by the number of words in each line. You can print out the page and fill it in, save a copy of it and edit it with your answers, or write your responses on a separate piece of paper. When finished, upload your answers to FreshGrade.
